Having always been under the spotlight — from children’s theatre to the lead role of an award-winning short film — Jean began her performance journey in acting and singing at the age of six. Growing up, she spent her free time writing songs and posting music on YouTube, going on to participate in and win various local singing competitions.

In 2022, Jean became a Spotify RADAR artist and an EQUAL ambassador for Singapore and Malaysia, earning a feature on New York Times Square’s billboard alongside other international musicians. Less than a year later, she appeared again on Times Square and LA’s Sunset Spectacular as the first-ever SEA Spotify GLOW artist representing all of Asia.

Amid all these luminous achievements, Jean remains grounded and close to home as she continues to explore her identity — as a performer, a singer, a queer Singaporean, and most recently, as Dew Ryan, her drag king persona.
