This March, we’re gathering for something a little different—an International Women’s Day event that doesn’t just talk about strength and survival, but actually gives you space to feel it.
Through visual art, real stories, and performances that stay with you, we’re celebrating the women who’ve shaped Singapore’s fight for justice—and the fire that keeps that fight going. It’s honest, it’s hands-on, and it’s happening at the end of the month.
We’ll kick things off with the launch of The Saga Podcast Transcripts: Fury, Faith and the Fight for Justice—a book that brings the legendary AWARE Saga back to life, in all its raw, dramatic glory.
Then, artist and academic Dr Margaret Tan takes us through six decades of her work, showing us how she’s used art to say what words sometimes can’t—about solidarity, about womanhood, about the personal being deeply political.
Dr Natalie Lazaroo follows with a talk that’s as moving as it is eye-opening, sharing how circus arts helped survivors of domestic violence rediscover trust, agency, and community through a project called Circus in a Tea Cup.
We’ll end the day with our hands in clay and thread, not critique. In Weaving of Hearts, you’re invited to sit with others, reflect on what it means to navigate this world, and create something together—a small, shared act of resilience. It’s our way of saying: we don’t just survive. We thrive. And we do it better together.
